Office Supply - Inventory Control Methods
Stockless Inventory:
The stockless inventory method eliminates the need for an on site
stock room for supply items. We ship directly from our warehouse
to your specified locations. These locations can be serviced the
same day or next day in the greater Cincinnati market area. For
those locations outside of the direct marketing area, orders will
be shipped within a 24 hour period.
By eliminating your stock room you can save thousands of dollars.
We are equipped to handle all ordering and stocking of your facilities,
saving you time and money.
Consigned Inventory:
The consigned inventory method allows you to have your own stock
room on hand without the overhead cost of inventory. All inventory
is purchased by Signal Office Supply and is left on hand
for you to draw from as you need it. You are only charged for
the items that you actually use. A consigned inventory can be
tracked by department or simply by our representatives counting
the inventory on a predetermined basis. Once the inventory is
counted, the ending balance is subtracted from the beginning balance
to give the total quantity to be billed.
This system allows you to pay as you use the items.
In-house Inventory Tracking:
All inventory is counted and entered. Inventory control methods
are the same as above. You have the option of using any of the
Order Entry methods described, plus the Contract Inventory Programs
associated with them.
You have complete and total control of all warehouse functions,
including: reorder point, order up to, requisitions entered by
department, order entry , inventory reports and many more features.
Other vendor items are also available for entry into our mainframe
system for complete control!
